November 14th, 2008We all dig salads. What’s not to like when they are healthy, tasty and easy to make? But even we can grow a little tired of the same old Caesar or rocket salad. Here, are a couple of creative recipes that will do wonders for your skin and your mood.
Skin-Cleansing Salad
What it does: Gives your skin vital nourishment and prevents spots
What you need:
• 1 bunch of watercress
• 2 oranges
• 2 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds
• 1 lime
How to make it:
• Wash and dry the watercress
• Peel and slice the oranges
• Place the watercress on a serving plate and surround it with slices of oranges
• Scatter pumpkin seeds all over
• Sprinkle with lime juice.
Aromatherapy Salad
What it does: Makes you feel uplifted by boosting your mood
What you need:
• 6 tomatoes
• 1 red onion
• 1 bunch of fresh basil
• 4 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil
• Ground black pepper
• Chunks of crusty whole meal bread
How to make it:
• Wash and slice the tomatoes
• Peel and slice the onion
• Wash and dry basil
• Put tomatoes and onion on plate
• Add olive oil
• Sprinkle basil leaves on top
• Season with pepper
• Serve with bread and savor the juicy mixture of oil and tomato.
