In Prae, a junior monk kills an abbot for complaining. On Papatro, 70, is a wheelchair-bound abbot at Dontan Temple. Early one morning, he wakes up Boonmee Sabaisuk, 54, junior monk, and asks that he takes him to the toilet. Boonmee duly obliges but the abbot then begins to complain about numerous things around the temple. Boonmee becomes angry, pushes the senior monk out of his wheelchair before stabbing him to death with a carving knife. Boonmee confesses that he was annoyed because it was cold and so early in the morning and the victim wouldn’t stop moaning. Boonmee is thrown out of the monkhood and charged with first-degree murder.

In Angthong, a funeral is held for the wrong man. A cremation for Prachaub Orachorn, 39, is scheduled at 4pm but when his relatives open the casket for a final farewell, it turns out to contain someone else. Komgrit Krongton, 42, one of Prachaub’s relatives, says that he was informed of Prachaub’s death a few months ago by the Kusalong Foundation in Chachengsao, who confirmed his identity based on the ID card found in the dead man’s wallet. Following the incident, Komgrit later called and checked with Sujin Orachon, Prachaub’s brother, who told him that Prachaub was alive and well and that he went to visit him just the other day. Further investigation to determine the dead man’s identity and how Prachaub’s ID card ended up on his body are still ongoing.

In Bangkok, a drunken man jumps off a building. Electrician Supot Sanponkrang, 33, and a group of his friends have been drinking at his apartment after work. When the rest of the group have gone to bed, Supot and Sittiporn Seenoon, 21, one of his friends, continue to chat on the balcony when the victim suddenly jumps up and leaps off the building falling to his death. Sittipon says that prior to jumping, the victim had complained that no one helped him at work and that he had promised to prove how much he loved his friends.
