In Phitsanulok, a meteor-like rock hits a villager’s roof. Somsak Sukkawattana, 44, is looking after his nephew when he hears a loud crashing sound coming from the corrugated roof of his home. Thinking it’s a bomb, he runs outside but can’t see anything. Further investigation reveals a small piece of gray stone on the roof. Somsak shows the rock to fellow villagers, saying he thinks it fell from the sky. The villagers believe that it has healing powers and can bring good fortune. The Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Naresuan says that while it is possible that the rock might be a part of a meteor, he doubts it has healing powers. Further inspection of the rock is ongoing.
