Nomad No More

After a mere 5 months of hosting hot parties and events, the Moroccan-themed bar and restaurant Nomad (Sukhumvit Soi 12, 02-229-4448) has rolled up their rug as it’s handed off to Bed Supper Club’s management team. Nomad fans fret not, because the new crew promises a bigger and better venue, and hopefully a longer shelf life.

Moved!

The people behind 23bar finally came to their senses and moved from their cramped shop house to a much larger space in Sukhumvit Soi 16 (085-951-5445). The décor sees random trash art and a small stage occupied by the ska/reggae band Kai-Jo Brothers, which would have brought the house down if the speakers didn’t sound like someone’s just stuck a foot in them. Although the opening’s food leaned towards frugal, the Japanese-dominant crowd seemed to enjoy themselves.
