The buzz: Located opposite the expat-heavy Ball in Hand pool hall, in a space previously occupied by part of Sin Bar, Synergy is the latest attempt to bring a touch of class to seedy Soi Nana. The club is partnered with the rooftop restaurant and bar Aura (check out next week’s Open Door).
The décor: Lots of dark metallic gray, black and the occasional red lighting to add some spice. The oval shaped bar is fitted with an aquarium and dominates half the room, while the rest of the space is left for the dance floor. Grab a bar stool or seat yourself on one of the black leather sofas that line the walls. The entire back wall is fitted with a huge mirror, much like a dance studio, giving you the opportunity to scope out the scene or just admire yourself breaking it down on the dance floor.
The music: House, dance and classic 80s and 90s tracks.
The crowd: Expats and inter Thais who happen to be in the area.
The price: Beer B160, whiskey B180-650, vodka B180-210, liqueur B160, cocktails B180-210 and shooters B160. They also serve tapas B180-220.
Why you’ll come back: It gives you a legitimate excuse to head to Nana. Start off at their breezy rooftop restaurant before dancing the calories away till the early hours of the morning. Heck, if you really need more “entertainment” then you are on the right street!
