C'EST BON!

Photos of carrots and onions adorn the white room of this restaurant overlooking a parking lot. They serve both French and Vietnamese food, but the best value is in the set menu, which gives you the opportunity to try a little of everything from the main.

Cafe 50

BK MAGAZINE Dine & Wine Guide 2005

-------------------------

A daytime used-furniture store that doubles as a dining/drinking room in the evening. Add a bar and a pool table, plus a kitchen in the back room and you have Y50. The trendy, artsy venue is a place to chill out while chowing all night on good food and partying with the young crowd.

Cafe Bangrak

Cafe Bangrak

This two-story building is a hip restaurant during the day and turns into a bar at night. The one-dish food ranges from Thai and fusion to international. Portions are smaller than prices, but internet is free of charge.

Cafe Bongo

The best thing about coming to Cafe Bongo is that the friendly staff makes you feel as though you are the only table there. The worst thing about coming here is that very often you almost are the only table there. Don't get us wrong: we're big fans of the urbane atmostphere, the concrete chic and the consistently well-prepared European dishes.

Cafe Buongiorno

Cafe Buongiorno

Peaceful, with a green and a natural-looking pond, the cafe serves home-style Italian dishes. Grab a seat in the garden in the late afternoon, where big trees deliver nice oxygen and the tasty food gives off big flavors. Don't miss  Bangkok's best selection of biscott.

Café Casta

Café Casta  A hybrid between a restaurant and a coffee shop, a café can be a hard proposition to get right. The result is normally great coffee, pleasant ambiance but distinctly pedestrian food. (read more...)

Cafe Chili

Elegantly decorated in contemporary northeastern style with a lovely outdoor seating area, the café serves up luxurious Isaan dishes with larb salmon and grilled lamb with jaew sauce as hot favorites. By street standards, the servings are small for what you’re paying, but the kitchen does a solid job, the service is smart and the ambiance is oh-so cool.

Cafe CPS

Cafe CPS

This swanky newcomer to Siam Center is operated by CPS Chaps and BED Management. DJ from Bed Supperclub spins thumping house tunes every Fri-Sat, 5-8pm. The menu, too, is a product of Bed’s kitchen crew. Generous Thai and European dishes come with reasonable price tags.

Cafe De Laos

It's a look-like-they-paid-an-insane-amount-to-renovate-this Thai-style house, with enthusiastic waiters who aim to please. The food you order might arrive in sort of a surprise attack, in which iit keeps on coming and coming-although in an ordderly fashion folio. It has a pleasant, airy feeling with traditional Thai/Lao food not-too-heavy on the chill.

Cafe de Nimes

A good spot for a casual business lunch, this high-ceiling space offers international buffet for lunch and dinner. Night owls can also stop by for a selection of Thai and French-with-Mediterranean-accents a la carte dishes that are available twenty-four seven.

( HSBC Dining Guide, BK#178, Mar 23, 2007)

Cafe Deco

It's a bright, glaring white corner restaurant wrapped with glass windows offering set lunches and pastas and Thai entrees. Service is quick, main courses can be a bit mild, but desserts and rich.

Cafe Democ

Appealing mostly to the indie crowd tired of hiso joints, this place is as laid back as it gets. During the day they cook up delicious Thai and Euro fare, desserts and drinks; after sunset the furniture is pushed to the walls and Bangkok’s beat freaks emerge, pumping out thumping electronic sounds, d’n’b, breakbeat, hip hop, techno and even rock.

Cafe Di Roma

It's well worth wandering down this seedy soi for an alarmingly good Italian/seafood experience. Thai iced tray of recently alive seafood that you pass on your way in should set you up for an exceptionally succulent maritime meal served by helpful staff.

Cafe on 2

The colorful lounge and casual dining area provide a relaxed atmosphere. The small, open kitchen in the back allow guests and chefs to interact. Serve Thai, Italian and Mediterranean cuisine with a little bit of overlap here and there. Even their breads are baked with chili.

Children nodes

Cafe Primo

This cheery eatery is a convenient meeting spot and the kind of place that will serve you a quick dinner when you are anxious to hit the dance floor, or let you sit for hours if you have gossip to catch up on

( HSBC Dining Guide, BK#178, Mar 23, 2007)

----------------------------

Cafe Swiss

Fondue is the highlight at this cozy Swiss eatery. Its menu, however, also includes Thai favorites and imported wines.

(HSBC Dining Guide, BK#178, Mar 23, 2007)

Cafe Terrace

This loft-like two-story barn has a lively vibe. Mainstream music booming from the speakers sets a party mood before bands take over to serve up acoustic pop. There’s a garden with alfresco seating on the huge terrace, if you like a quiet, natural atmosphere.

---------------------------

Cakewalk

It’s not a piece of cake to pick only one slice from a tempting array of the shop’s sweet sins. About 20 kinds of treats are on offer daily with cookies & cream cheesecake, strawberry shortcake and wine strawberry blast as the best-sellers. Indecisive sweet-toothed visitors can always opt for a high tea set that includes canapés and mini cakes served all day.

Calderazzo

Well loved by yuppies and other city trend setters, this modern white-and-glass bistro located in the middle of Lang Suan serving a variety of fare stands out from its neighbors with its quality dishes. Also good for wine drinkers who want to chat with their friends.

California WOW Xperience (Rama 1 Rd.)

The hardest part of working out is probably the beginning; walking into a gym uncomfortable and uneasy, seeing all those unfamiliar faces and toned bodies, thinking “Oh no, what am I doing here?” Fat chance you’ll ever come back.
