Ma Be Ba

Brightly lit through cave-like with a Renaissance-esque ceiling mural, this huge Italian bistro is a place for group dining rather than for a romantic candlelit intimacy. Mahanaga

This gorgeous restaurant consisting of a charming yellow house, two standalone dining rooms and stunning courtyard boasts an eclectic-yet-tasteful décor with a blend of Eastern European flair and Oriental hints. The food is equally pleasant. Great for out-of-town guests or special occasions.

Maharajah

Maharajah seems to be an all-time favorite Indian restaurant, judging from the numerous, eclectic clientele. The restaurant has a warm feel and is decorated in bright colors. Prices are reasonable, food is definitely not a disappointment and menu is anything but brief.

Malika

This yellow house is definitely up there when it comes to the best Southern Thai kitchens in the capital. Famous in the Thai media for its Chumporn recipes, there’s a diverse crowd of Bangkokians (including expats) and tourists coming here to give their tongues a trial by fire with some great Southern cooking.

Manchester United

Manchester United

Wearing the love of the Red devils on its sleeve, this new bar in Sukhumvit Soi 11, the third of its kind in the SEA region, is dedicated to promoting the Manchester United brand. No surprises. Red, red and more red to celebrate the famous Man-U kit and, of course, huge projectors and flat screen TVs to show all the club’s matches (plus all major sporting events) live.

Mango Tree Bistro

Mango Tree Bistro

Mango Tree has opened another branch at CentralWorld. Targeting a younger crowd, the food in this branch is simpler, the price cheaper, the décor swankier and the overall theme more fashionable by adding on the concept of the bistro. Patrons dine on Thai cuisine pleasurable only for the western palate.

Manhattan’s

After being called Flame for about a year and not ever getting too hot, the two-story venue has taken on a more metropolitan moniker. If you were drunk enough, you could think you were gallivanting around a dungeon looking for trolls (with its brick walls and metal bars). Pop, pop rock, rock, rock n’ roll, jazz—you get the point.

Mantra

Go for the mood not the food at this inviting dwelling consisted of three levels: The ground floor with a bar and comfy chairs here and there, plus a Moorish room; the dining room on the second floor; and the cigar lounge on the third. The food is a daring Medeterranean and Asian invitation, but doesn't really leave a mark on the palate. We repeat: It's the mood.

Maria Pizzeria

Tacky pseudo-Italian décor is nothing special, but pizzas come with generous toppings, house wines are cheap and servers are friendly. A solid choice if you are looking for a good-value meal.
