Description
The buzz: A boutique pub and mega restaurant located on the outskirts of Bangkok where you can drink, dance and dine under one roof.
The décor: Very stylish with raw concrete, red and black tones, high ceilings and plenty of outdoor space. Cute and cozy furnishings include big fluffy beach chairs and low rise tables. There’s also cool, canteen-style seating available in the outdoor area. On the patio area on this floor, you get a lighter vibe, a bird’s eye view, plus a breeze.
The music: Soft pop and acoustic music performed nightly by a three-piece band. Jazz on Wed. On Thu-Sat, a full band plays Thai hits and the DJ spins commercial hip hop.
The crowd: Mainly trendies and adults, not much of a family vibe. Also present: hard headed students, messy hairdos, dek neaw and plenty of eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. Altogether, surprisingly smart considering the location.
The bill: Black Label (B1,100), Red Label (B600), Singha (B60, 100), draft beer (B150), mixers (B30), cocktails B120-300. Food B150-B600.
Why you’ll come back: The atmosphere, music, yummy food, well priced drinks and the crowd put this place at the top of the evening hang-out list—despite the distance. Just remember to keep one of them sober to drive you home. It’s a long way back to civilization.
