Australian psychedelic-rock band Pond are the latest act confirmed to be heading to Bangkok this busy concert season.

Gig organizers VIJI Corp today announced that the four-piece with perform at Nakarin Space (399/1 Srinakarin Rd.) on Nov 21, supported by Bangkok-based experimental producer Koichi Shimizu.

Advance tickets are B2,000 and are available from Aug 31 on Thaiticketmajor.com. The concert follows a bumper run of gigs by VIJI, who've recently brough over indie acts Oh Wonder and Lany (both of which sold out) and Guns 'N Roses.

Pond was formed in Perth, Australia, in 2008 by Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson and Joe Ryan, all of whom at various times have played in Tame Impala, another Australian psych-rock band who have claimed international attention. Known for mixing the heavy riffage and camp touches of '70s classic rock with strangely introspective lyrics, the band just released their seventh album, The Weather (which was produced by Tame Impala's Kevin Parker), earlier this year.

In related indie concert news, promoters Have You Heard? announced recently that New York noise-pop act DIIV will visit Bangkok in September.

Until December comes around, here's a taste of Pond's psychedelic sounds:
