This Sunday saw the soft opening party of Piccolo Morso Aperitivo Lounge, a two-storey space dedicated to Italian spirits, cocktails, wines, and aperitifs. It’s a spot to get the night going on Sukhumvit’s favorite club street.

You will find Nana’s latest nightlife contender away from the fray, tucked in the little alley behind Soho Pizza on Sukhumvit Soi 11. The space, while fairly small, seats a dozen downstairs with room for dancing. The opening party was fueled by the phenomenally fun DJ Babyscash spinning hip hop and R&B tunes which kept the crowd dancing. Italian-American owner, Louis, tells BK Magazine that they have plans for live music, DJs, and performances.

The seven signature cocktails (all B329) are creative and generous. The Peachy Amore is a favorite featuring Cinzano Bianco, Tito’s vodka, and Bols peach liqueur. Another winner for us was the Passion Rinfresco which blends Henkes gin, Campari, passion fruit, lemon, vanilla, and Cinzano and somehow tastes like bubblegum. For those who like a less sweet tipple, opt for the zesty Pompelmo Garden where Lady Trieu Contemporary Vietnam gin, Bols, Elderflower, and grapefruit soda creates a pleasantly sour long drink.

They do have food, of course—Piccolo Morso means “small bite” in Italian, after all. And that’s just what you’ll find here: a selection of snacks both traditionally Italian and not so much. From bruschetta, calamari fritti, and meatballs in tomato sauce, to laab muu tod, and finely sliced rare roast beef with nam jim jaew.

The real game changer is the upstairs lounge which will be available to rent as a private space. Filled with velvet lounges for about 20 people, a huge television, and a karaoke setup, this could be a spot for intimate birthday parties and special celebrations.
