With tight restrictions placed on bars, the chances that you can visit your favorite places soon are low. But that’s going to change (sort of) as the crews behind Teens of Thailand and Asia Today are unveiling a project called Drinks Academy, where some of Bangkok’s booze specialists will take turns to guide you through the rich history of their craft.

These aren’t your garden-variety classes. The perk is that, since they’re for educational purposes, you can actually taste some of their creations.

Here are four workshops you can register for now via Line @yologroup. Each is limited to six to eight participants, so you will need to act fast.

Gins of Japan
What: A crash course for Japanese gin-ophiles who wish to have a hands-on experience with the spirit. The workshop guides you through a brief history of Japanese craft spirits and their distilleries. Participants will learn more about the character of the spirit and the right way to drink it.
When: June 18, 6-8pm
Prices: B2,800 per person

Wild Honey Session
What: If you’re a fan of the wild honey creations at Teens of Thailand, what better way to learn about them than from someone who’s behind the bar? Tamaryn Makham Cooper, the youngest winner of the Campari Bartender Competition in Thailand and honey curator and bartender at Asia Today, will guide you through the rich diversity of wild honey while whipping up one honey tasting and five honey drinks for you to taste.
When: June 19, noon-2pm
Prices: B2,800 per person

Gin Masterclass
What: As the most prominent gin bar in Bangkok, Teens of Thailand has plenty to say about the booze. People from Teens of Thailand and Asia Today will take you on a historical journey of the beloved, botanical-forward spirit and its evolution before it became what we know it as today.
When: Sat 19 Jun, 4-6pm
Prices: B2,800 per person

6 Gins Session
What: Just like it sounds, the workshop is all about gin in six variations. The Teens of Thailand crew will reveal secret tips for the best ways to utilize each different spirit to make your own unique creation.
When: June 19, 6-8pm
Prices: B2,800 per person
