BANGKOK RESTAURANT

Karmakamet Diner

The local aromatherapy brand became as well known for cutely decorated cafes when they opened this popular brunch spot.

Local aromatherapy brand Karmakamet is now as well known for its cute coffee shops as its home fragrances. This full-scale restaurant is the most ambitious of the lot, featuring on-trend  decor filled with old-school medicine cupboards, packing crates and house plants. Like many of Bangkok's new restuarants, the menu puts the spotlight on brunch, with dishes like egg white fritata (and French toast , while dinner sees options like braised beef ravioli and linguini with lemon and tomato confit.

Long-known for its aromatic products, Karmakamet is following up its recently-opened café in Silom with the full-blown Karmakamet Diner. Sticking to a cute retro-inspired décor, courtesy of Be Grey (the guys behind Casa Lapin and a host of other hip new openings), the venue features old-school medicine cupboard-like walls displaying the brand’s range of products. Like many new restaurants, the menu puts the spotlight on brunch, with dishes like egg white fritata (B270) and French toast (B250), while dinner sees options like braised beef ravioli (B390) and linguini with lemon and tomato confit (B290).
