It’s finally Valentine’s Day, guys. If you’re looking for a Valentine, it’s last call. Oh wait—you’re still deciding where to go? Well, from now until February 28, Peppina is whipping up some of their cutest dishes for the lovey-dovey.

On our last visit, we enjoyed the fresh shot of mozzarella cheese and sweet minced beetroot with a rich pink cream from their heart-shaped ravioli (B310). Another romantic dish was their pizza innamonata (B510). The pizza takes a similar approach to the ravioli, transformed into a heart. The chef is very generous with his tender capocollo Corsican pork cold cut, which pairs beautifully with the mild creaminess of taleggio cheese and the nutty grana padano

If you have more baht to burn on your sweetie, try their Canadian half lobster (B1,600) accompanied by a seafood platter featuring plumb tiger prawns, mussels, clams, and baby squids. Though pricey, these freshly steamed seafood delicacies smothered in butter are a seafood force to be reckoned with. Their whole sea bream (B1,650), meanwhile, is a bit heavy on the salt but still flaky and tender. Don’t make the same mistake as what we did: Our photographer took a big bite of its outer layer—and could taste the next day. That’s not how it’s done. Crack its outlet layer and squeeze the lemon liberally. Consider yourself warned.

The highlight and perhaps our favorite was their dessert. The puff tartlet (B290) was more than just visually appealing; inside the crispy outer shell, the chef deploys sour berries from local forests and draws a heart shape in chocolate before filling it with strawberry syrup, which goes down smooth with the vanilla ice cream.
