Tucked away in Sukhumvit Soi 37, this latest Sarnies pop-up is not just about the croissants.

What’s interesting about this pop-up is the rotating pizza menus that change every two weeks. The idea, the venue tells BK Magazine, is to let customers get the best out of this temporary pop-up—and these are no ordinary pizzas.

The menus are overseen by none other than Feng Chen from @leopardcrust, known for her creative pizzas and claiming to have experimented with 500 pizza combinations and 100 batches of dough recipes to perfect her light, airy sourdough pizza.

Her current pizza options include the Marinara (B280) tomato-based pie laden with fresh oregano and garlic confit; the Rocket Man (B360) cream-based pizza with pancetta, rocket, and mozzarella; and the Squash Goals (B350) with crispy sage, pancetta, mozzarella, and gorgonzola on a pumpkin cream base.

On our last visit, we tried Netflix n’ Chili (B350), a tomato-based pizza with pepperoni, pickled chili, mozzarella, and grana padano. The sourdough crust features pleasant open holes with crispy, deeply caramelized dark spots, and the tomato paste lends a gentle acidity and sweetness. It’s a shame we didn’t have more room for another.

Initially the pop-up had planned to sell pizza after 5pm, but due to popular demand will be slinging pies starting at noon. Hit early for the croissants (they run out fast), or simply go there after 5pm when they can serve alcohol—think Chalawan Pale Ale (B260). Taking inspiration from Japanese-themed cafes of Phrom Phong, Sarnies's Pop-up collaborated with mural artists Min Supitcha and Luke Satoru to paint kimono-pattern style wall art.
