If you binged “Chef’s Table,” “Street Food Asia,” and “Ugly Delicious,” then you’re in for a treat. “Chefs Uncut,” a six-part documentary series by Creators Lab, is scheduled to debut on Netflix later this year. From Thailand, they’ll include two chefs: Pichaya “Pam” Soontornyanakij and Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn.

For the first season, the series will take viewers on a journey through Singapore, the Philippines, and, you guessed it, Thailand, spanning big cities and farms and villages and providing an insight into Asia's unique culinary landscape. Each episode offers a personal profile of Asia’s six leading chefs, where they delve into conversations about their personal stories, formative experiences, creative techniques, and challenges they have had to face.

Chef Pam is perhaps best known for the Michelin-starred Potong, which also ranked  88th on the World’s 50 Best 2023. Pam holds the distinction of being one of Thailand’s younger female chefs to earn a Michelin star and was crowned Asia’s Best Female Chef in 2024.

Chef Ton is the mastermind behind Le Du, awarded one Michelin star, ranked number one on Asia’s 50 Best 2023, and ranked 15th on the World’s 50 Best 2023. His second establishment, Nusara, is ranked 74 on the World’s 50 Best, relocated to a new space earlier this year with an impressive view of Wat Pho.

Other chefs the series will profile include Chef Bjorn Shen (Artichoke, Singapore), Chef LG Han (Labyrinth, Singapore), Chef Jordy Navarra ( Toyo Eatery, Philippines), and Chef Janice Wong (2am Dessert Bar, Singapore). The series is scheduled to debut on Netflix, SBS, and other networks this year.
