Royal Osha, Wireless Road’s Thai fine dining restaurant, known for its sophisticated modern Thai cuisine and elaborate gold-accented interiors reminiscent of an ancient palace, has reopened with an outstanding new menu curated by chef Vichit Mukura. You might remember him from his long reign at the Mandarin Oriental’s Sala Rim Naam or his work at Khao. Now, he is in charge of the famously OTT restaurant, which has undergone a relatively major revamp in recent months.

Aiming to reinvent “classic Thai elegance,” Mukura is putting forth seasonal menus that are all about modern Thai creations packed with authentic tastes, with a nod to Japanese cuisine added to the mix. Expect decadent dishes like Japanese conch shell and a Thai-style spicy salad with fresh herbs served in rice noodle rolls; pan-fried scallops with steamed egg and a mixed salad with spicy chili lime sauce mixed; smoked and dried fish soup with seared yellowfin tuna and green pea; and the flavorful fried lobster with yellow curry and deep-fried rice with mushroom salad. Desserts, meanwhile, include a sweet-yet-tangy fermented rice sorbet with crispy coconut and rice flour shell, and steamed coconut egg custard with condiments.

Royal Osha’s Chef’s Table menu is priced at B1,890/person for five-courses; B3,200/person for seven-courses; and from B250-1,290 for a la carte orders. Call 02-256-6555 or email reservations@royalosha.com to book in advance (one week is required).
