After the closure of our favorite tri-brand menswear boutique Headquarter last year, we haven't heard much from its three labels: Chai by Chai Chiamkittikul, Sunshine by Jirat Subpisankul and Realistic Situation by Patsarun Sriluansoi. And then at the recent Bangkok Fashion Society’s presentation, we saw the launch of two new labels: Chai’s Chai Gold Label and Jirat’s Sanchai, which both happen to be women’s lines. Though this is not the first time Jirat has designed for women, he is clearly taking it seriously this time. For his first official spring/summer collection, it is all about elegance and alluring female curves. Inspired by HM the Queen’s wardrobe and that of many other royal family members, the collection uses various wrapping techniques resembling traditional Thai dresses, along with Jirat’s love for all thing art nouveau through colors like gold, black, silver and gray. Blended with laser-cut orchid flowers used to decorate and add dimension to dresses and tops, this spring/summer collection resembles modern ladies, both stunning and strong at the same time. Dresses start from B8,900, tops and skirts from B2,900. Try 1/F Siam Paragon, 02-690-1000 or 1/F Emporium, 02-269-1000 ext. 1188.
